1. Bai Dinh Pagoda
Bai Dinh pagoda in Ninh Binh – The first and most important thing is wonderful landscapes of Ninh Binh land have played an important role on the development of Viet Nam tourist industry to the world today.
Not only do the marvelous scenery make you dote on it, it also elicits a precious land with ancient historical relics of ancient Vietnam which is the second thing you should know. Bai Dinh Padoda includes both of majestic scenery and spirit values. This is the largest spiritual pagoda in Viet Nam and one of the must-see places in Ninh Binh.

2. Bich Dong Pagoda
Originally constructed in 1428 during the reign of Emperor Ly Thai To, Bich Dong Pagoda used to be a small pagoda nestled in Ngu Nhac Mountain.
In 1705, two Buddhist monks named Tri Kien and Tri The discovered this pagoda and re-constructed it into three levels: Lower Pagoda (Ha Pagoda), Middle Pagoda (Trung Pagoda), and Upper Pagoda (Thuong Pagoda).
In 1774, Lord Trinh Sam of Dang Ngoai (Outer Land) visited the pagoda and was impressed by the breathtaking panoramic view of nature there. The pagoda caught his attention, and he named it Bich Dong (Green Pearl Cave) Pagoda.

3. Perfume Pagoda
Perfume Pagoda is absolutely worth visiting if you are interested in exploring Vietnam’s culture and religion. Located about 70 kilometers from Hanoi’s center and 40 Km from Ninh Binh. This complex is a series of shrines built into a limestone mountain. During the Lunar New Year, thousands of pilgrims make their way to this spiritual site to pray for blessings and good fortune.
Upon arrival, you can hike through lush vegetation to reach Huong Tich Cave, which houses serene Buddhist shrines. Along the way, do not forget to stop and try local delicacies such as steamed sticky rice cakes. At the top, you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Afterward, immerse yourself in Vietnamese religious culture at Trinh Temple or Thien Tru Pagoda. You can also check out Huong Tich Grotto, where there is an entrance resembling the mouth of a dragon, before retiring for the day with a cable car ride down the mountain.

4. Tam Chuc pagoda
Tam Chuc Pagoda, situated in Ha Nam, Vietnam, is a captivating religious sanctuary renowned for its serene ambiance and cultural significance. Tam Chuc Pagoda Vietnam, originally built during the Dinh Dynasty, has a history dating back over a thousand years. The new pagoda, inaugurated in May 2019, was constructed atop the ancient Tam Chuc Pagoda’s foundations. In recent years, the pagoda has undergone significant restoration and expansion efforts, including the construction of a massive Buddha statue and a new conference center. These developments continue to draw a multitude of both local and international visitors.

5. Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu
This pagoda also has other names such as Phi Lai Dia Tang Pagoda or the common name Dung Pagoda, with a history of more than 1000 years old. On both sides there are mountains shaped like a left dragon, a right white tiger and many ancient objects of sacred historical value, bearing the mark of the history of Vietnamese Buddhism.
The pagoda’s location is right on a small hill, behind a green pine forest and in Ninh Trung village. The space inside is extremely spacious and flat with a spacious entrance path. Those who come here for the first time will be somewhat surprised when the yard leading to the temple is covered with white gravel instead of red bricks like many other places.
